Fafnir did not begin as something to be displayed. He began as something to be feared — the dragon of the Gnita Heath, coiled over gold beyond counting, venomous and vast and absolutely certain that nothing in the nine realms was coming through that territory without his permission. Sigurd killed him with a sword buried in the earth beneath the path Fafnir always took, because there was no honest way to face what Fafnir had become head-on.

That is the thing about dragons. They do not hang on walls. They claim walls.

Fafnir — the mounted display — was built with that understanding. The dragon emerges from the shield not as an ornament but as a presence, three-dimensional and fully realized, scaled and detailed in the way that only the precision of modern printing in the hands of someone who actually knows what they are doing can achieve. The shield behind it is not background. It is the territory. The laser-engraved nameplate below it is not a label. It is an acknowledgment — the formal recognition that what you are looking at has a name, and the name matters, and whoever owns this wall knew both things when they put it there.

This is a collaboration between the hands that print, the hands that mount, and the craft that ties them together into something that did not exist before Midgard Artistry made it.
