The gods do not require a dedicated room. They never did.
The Norse did not build cathedrals. They did not need consecrated stone and stained glass and architecture that announced itself from three miles away. They made offerings at trees, at stones, at the edge of water, in the middle of fields, wherever the moment and the need aligned. The sacred was not a location. It was an intention. A practice carried in the hands and the heart of the person doing the carrying.
The Wayfarer's Altar was built on that understanding.
Every element you need. Nothing you don't. Fitted into a laser-engraved wooden box that does not announce what it is to anyone who isn't meant to know — because not every practice happens in the open, and there is no shame in that. The broom closet is not a failure of conviction. Sometimes it is wisdom. Sometimes it is survival. Sometimes it is simply nobody else's business, which has always been a perfectly legitimate position.
The altar inside does not care either way. It works exactly the same.
The Elder Futhark rune set arrives with its bag, carved and ready — twenty-four tiles that have carried meaning since before the tradition had a name, available for casting, for meditation, for whatever the practice demands. The Mjölnir pendant carries the consecrating power of the hammer — blessing, protection, the specific gravity of Thor's mark on whatever it touches. The offering tray holds what you bring to the work. The candles and dish give the flame somewhere to live. The altar cloth lays it all out properly, turning whatever surface you have — hotel nightstand, forest floor, the trunk of a car at 0200 — into something that functions as sacred space because you decided it was.
The engraved box closes. It travels. It opens again wherever you need it to.
The gods have always known where you are. This just makes it easier to meet them there.
