Valkyrie's Grove Goat Milk Soap

They chose who fell. They also chose who came home.

The valkyries — the valkyrjur, the choosers of the slain — rode over every battlefield in the North deciding whose story ended there and whose did not. The later romantic paintings made them all wings and glory. The older poems are harder. In the Darraðarljóð, they weave the battle on a loom of human entrails. They were not decoration. They were judgment.

But even the choosers of the slain needed somewhere to rest between rides. Somewhere green, quiet, and sharp-scented, where the air was clean and nobody was asking them to decide anything.

Valkyrie's Grove is that place. A rosemary and currant goat milk bar — the clear, herbal bite of rosemary cut with dark, tart currant. Bracing without being harsh. Green and a little wild. The scent of a clearing after the fight is over.
