Ægir was a jötunn of the deep ocean, and he was the gods' brewer. In the Lokasenna and the Hymiskviða, it is Ægir's hall the Æsir go to when they want to drink properly. His hall was lit by gold instead of fire. The ale served itself. Thor once hauled a cauldron a mile deep out of the giant Hymir's house just so Ægir would have something big enough to brew in for all of them.

That is the kind of host Ægir was. Generous. Formidable. Not someone you want to disappoint at his own table.

Ægir's Reserve is made with real Kentucky bourbon, the good stuff, poured right into the batch. Warm, deep, a little oaky, the smell of something poured slowly in a hall where nobody is in a hurry to leave.
