Jar of Runes

Some sailors trust a compass that won't point north. You've got something better.

Picture it. A longship rolling on a grey sea. One Viking, far too much mead in him and not nearly enough sense, is dancing barefoot across the deck with a tiny glass jar held over his head, singing at the top of his lungs:

"I've got a jar of runes! I've got a jar of RUNES!" (No relation to the worst pirate you've definitely heard of.)

Nobody asked. He doesn't care. The crew is concerned. The crew is also, quietly, jealous.

Long before anyone stuck a parrot on a shoulder, the Norse were the ones raiding coastlines and reading their fate in carved staves. This is the pocket-sized version of that: all the Elder Futhark runes, cut as tiny tiles and sealed in a screw-top glass vial. Small enough to ride in your pocket, your bag, your travel altar, or a Yule stocking. Pull one rune for the day, shake out three when the sea gets rough, or just carry it and let people wonder.

Pick your runes:

• Wood: laser engraved on light wood. Classic, quiet, and smells faintly of the forge.
• Glow-in-the-Dark Blue: 3D printed and charged by any light. For readings below deck, by lantern, or at the bottom of a bottle.

Fair warning: these are tiny. Perfect for pulling a rune or two on the go. If you want to lay out a full spread with big Viking fingers, grab a full-size set too.
